Edgar Silva is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and auditing. Currently serving as the Controller & Finance Team Leader at Avantor Performance Materials, Inc. since October 2005, Edgar is responsible for establishing business and financial objectives, managing annual budgets and forecasting, and overseeing financial reporting, treasury, accounts receivables and payables, cost accounting, taxes, and overall accounting functions. Prior to this, Edgar worked as an Audit Manager at PwC from May 1997 to October 2005, where responsibilities included conducting external audits for international companies across various sectors, including automotive, pharmaceutical, and retail. Edgar holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
