Andrew Down has extensive experience in finance and education, with a career spanning over four decades. Currently serving as a casual polling officer at the Australian Electoral Commission since April 2022 and as a casual tutor at the Professional Development & Learning Academy since February 2020, Andrew has also held various roles at Commonwealth Bank from 1978 to 2019, culminating in the position of Executive Manager. Expertise includes foreign exchange, budgeting, financial modeling, project management, and resource management. Andrew's academic background includes a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting from Macquarie University, multiple certifications in training and assessment, and a Diploma of Financial Planning. Additional teaching experience includes part-time tutoring for Management Accounting students at Macquarie University from 2000 to 2009.
