Karen Michelle is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Acting CFO at the National Museum of Australia since October 2024 and as the Treasurer of the Board of Directors at the Perinatal Wellbeing Centre. With a strong background in audit and risk management, Karen is an active member of various committees, including those at the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the Australian Research Council. As the owner of CJZ Consulting, significant engagements include establishing the Strategic Planning and Management Office for ICT across Defence and conducting cost assurance for programs linked to Defence's 2016 White Paper. Karen's previous roles include various senior positions at the Department of Communications and a decade-long tenure at PwC Australia, progressing from Graduate to Director. Academically, Karen holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce and Science from The Australian National University and is a Chartered Accountant. Additionally, Karen is pursuing certification in Programme Management.
