Jimy Alzate has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Jimy is currently working as a Software Engineer at Howdy™ since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Lean Solutions Group as a Full-stack Developer from January 2020 to July 2021. Jimy also has experience as a Software Engineer at e-volution from November 2018 to December 2019 and at Audifarma S.A from March 2018 to November 2018. Before entering the industry, Jimy worked as a Mobile Application Developer, Web Software Developer, and Web Platform Developer at Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira from August 2016 to December 2017. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and implementing various web and mobile applications using frameworks like Ionic, Laravel, and PostgreSQL.

Jimy Alzate attended the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira from 2013 to 2017. Jimy did not obtain a degree or specialize in a specific field of study during this time. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications from the institution "Platzi." These certifications include "Fundamentos de Ingeniería de Software" in January 2018, "Curso Gratis de Marketing Voz a Voz" in December 2017, "Curso Gratis de Programación Básica" in December 2017, and "Curso profesional de Git y GitHub" in November 2017.
