Alon Wellner has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology and research. Alon is currently working as the VP Biology and co-founder at Aureka Biotechnologies, Inc., where they lead pharmaceutical transformation through a discovery platform that digitalizes therapeutic design. Prior to this, Alon worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Irvine. Alon also served as a Project Lead at BiomX Ltd from 2017 to 2018. Before that, Alon held the position of Head of Research and Development at Forrest Innovations from 2016 to 2017 and worked as an R&D team leader from 2013 to 2016. Alon gained further research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2013. Alon's academic experience includes being a Lecturer at The Open University of Israel from 2008 to 2010 and serving as a Laboratory Instructor and Teaching Assistant at Tel Aviv University from 2006 to 2008.

Alon Wellner completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, from the years 2008 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science (Ms.C) degree in Genetics, magna cum laude, from Tel Aviv University, between the years 2006 and 2008. Alon'sundergraduate education was also completed at Tel Aviv University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (Bs.C) degree in Psychology and Biology, from 2003 to 2006. Alon's educational journey began at Leyada Jerusalem, where they completed high school with a focus on Physics, from 1996 to 1998.
