Alexiz Perez is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in regulatory and government relations. Currently serving as Lead Regulatory Counsel at Assurant since December 2015, Alexiz has held multiple roles within the company, including Senior Legal Counsel and Associate General Counsel - Government Relations. Prior to this, Alexiz worked as an Assistant State Attorney at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office and as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorneys Office. Early career experience includes a Legal Intern position at the Innocence Project and legal internships focusing on immigrant tenant advocacy at Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and judicial internship with the Honorable Dawn Jimenez. Alexiz holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Cardozo School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Political Science and Government from the University of Florida.
