Samer Banna is a seasoned engineering executive currently serving as the Vice President of Engineering at ASM since April 2022. Prior to this role, Samer Banna held various leadership positions at Applied Materials from August 2007 to April 2022, including Principal Member of Technical Staff and Managing Director of Engineering, where responsibilities spanned systems engineering and technology development in advanced imaging. Samer Banna's early career included a postdoctoral research associate role at Brookhaven National Laboratory, where innovative experiments in particle acceleration were conducted. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, complemented by an Engineering Leadership Professional Program certification from UC Berkeley.
