Mohamed Ebaid

Principal Process Engineer at ASM International NV

Mohamed Ebaid, PhD, is a Principal Process Engineer at ASM since May 2021, specializing in high temperature and reduced pressure development of doped silicon fills through selective epitaxial growth, along with EPI reactor development initiatives. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellow role at Berkeley Lab, where significant advancements were made in transition metal nitride photocathodes for solar hydrogen generation. Notably, the realization of the cost-effective photoactive Cu3N material was achieved. Mohamed also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, focusing on III-nitride nanowires for solar energy applications, and has experience as a Project Researcher at SABIC developing solar hydrogen fuel nano-generators. The academic foundation includes a PhD in Physics from Chonnam National University, where research concentrated on III-V semiconductor nanowires and their application in optoelectronics.
