Sumit Sharma is an experienced journalist with a strong background in business and financial reporting. Currently serving as Chief Correspondent at Asia Times since April 2020, Sumit previously held roles such as Business Editor at The New Indian Express, Executive Editor at Business India, and Banking Editor at Business Standard. Notably, Sumit began a significant career at Bloomberg as a Correspondent and has extensive experience with Reuters, where coverage of India's economic liberalization was carried out.
