Ward Van de Walle has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ward started their career in 1998 at Chevron as a Group Coordinator Mechanical Testing. In 2002, they joined Burke E. Porter Machinery as an Engineering Manager, eventually becoming the Managing Director for Energy & Infrastructure. In 2009, Ward founded their own company, Cheval Fatal bvba.
In 2015, Ward took on multiple roles, including Vice President General Industry at Ascential Technologies, where they oversaw various companies specializing in hydraulic testing, balancing equipment, and vacuum technology. Ward also joined CIMAT Balancing Machines as a Member of the Supervisory Board.
In 2018, Ward became a Member of the Board of Directors at Galileo TP Process Equipment S.r.l. Ward later joined Van Hoecke Automation nv as the Chief Executive Officer in 2021.
