Andy Baker started their career in 1987 at the UK Ministry of Defence, where they worked as a Commercial Manager, Programme Manager, and Project Manager until 2014. In 2014, they joined Ascent Flight Training as the Commercial Director. In this role, they led the legal and commercial team and was responsible for the development and delivery of the company's ICT and data strategy.

Andy Baker obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Design from Loughborough University, which they attended from 1989 to 1991. Later, in 2000 to 2001, they pursued a Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from ACCA.
