Brian J. McCormick is an accomplished educator and professional in the fields of media studies and the arts, currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The New School for Public Engagement since 1997 and as an Adjunct Lecturer at Lehman College since 2017. With extensive experience as a Teaching Artist for ArtsConnection since 2003, McCormick has contributed to innovative arts programming for New York City public schools. Additional roles include serving as Treasurer for FRIENDS OF HILLSIDE DOG PARK and as a member of the Board of Directors for Pentacle, advocating for contemporary dance and performance artists. Previous experience includes leadership positions at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Gay City News, and Nicholas Leichter Dance. McCormick holds multiple degrees in Media Studies and has developed a strong foundation in the arts and education through various teaching and administrative roles while actively engaging with the community through cultural programming and arts advocacy.
