Dr. Tiffany Chien's work experience begins with their current position as a Scientist I at ArsenalBio, where they started in July 2022. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2022, they were a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University in the City of New York, working in the Synthetic Biological Systems Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Tal Danino. Their research focused on engineering microbes to fight cancer. In 2021, they had a research scientist internship at Acepodia from June to August. Before pursuing their Ph.D., Dr. Chien worked as an undergraduate research assistant at UC Irvine Hui Lab from 2014 to 2016, where they conducted optogenetics research to control stem cell differentiation under the supervision of Dr. Elliot Hui. Tiffany also worked as an undergraduate student researcher at the Sue and Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center from January to June 2014, where they focused on hair stem cell research under the guidance of Dr. Maksim Plikus.
Tiffany Chien, Ph.D. pursued their education in two renowned institutions. From 2012 to 2016, they attended UC Irvine for an unspecified degree in Biomedical Engineering. Later on, from 2016 to 2022, Tiffany joined Columbia University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy - Ph.D. program in Synthetic Biology.
