Michael Henderson began their work experience in 1981 as an Internal Auditor at Associated Natural Gas Company. Michael then moved on to work as a Utility Auditor at Arkansas Public Service Commission in 1984. At the same time, they also started working at Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp./ Today's Power, Inc. as the EVP & CFO.

Michael Henderson attended Arkansas State University from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. In 2012, they also completed the Advanced Management Program at Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business.
