Carlos Alberto Reyes Contreras has held various roles in the IT industry since 2012. In 2012, they worked as an Analyst Programmer at Indra, where they were responsible for developing and analyzing requirements for a Financial Rural System. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Credito Familiar as a Systems Control Manager, where they were responsible for overseeing and maintaining compliance levels of different control points, as well as creating a semi-automated information control system. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at the Secretaría de Seguridad Pública del DF as a Departmental Unit Head of Projects in Development. Lastly, since 2020, they have been working at Arcus as a Project Manager and Scrum Master.

Carlos Alberto Reyes Contreras obtained their Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Informática from UPIICSA in 2011, with a field of study in Administración de Proyectos PMI PMP, Informática, Sistemas, Desarrollo de aplicaciones. Carlos Alberto also obtained their Licenciado en Ciencias de la Informática from Instituto Politécnico Nacional in 2011, with a field of study in Tecnología de la información. In April 2016, they earned their Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance.
