Alexandros Zografos is a highly experienced academic in the field of organic chemistry, currently serving as a Professor of Organic Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki since September 2024. Previously, Alexandros held positions as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at the same institution, focusing on the total synthesis of natural products and delivering lectures in organic chemistry. Alexandros's research background includes significant roles as a Senior Researcher at NCSR Demokritos and a Postdoctoral Researcher at both Columbia University and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a notable focus on the synthesis of various compounds. Alexandros completed postdoctoral research at Scripps Research and earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the National Technical University of Athens, along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the National University of Athens.
