Robert Yancey has worked in the medical field since 1990. Robert began their career as the Director of Antibiotic Stewardship Program and Consultant, Infectious Diseases at HCA North Florida Regional Medical Center. In 2008, they became the Chairman of Infection Control at North Florida Regional Medical Center. In 2009, they took on the role of Infectious Diseases and Stewardship Director at Select Specialty Hospital. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Founder and Director of Product Development at SignaTouch Corporation. In 2015, they founded Antibiotic Adjuvant, Inc. and served as the Founder and Editor. In 2016, they became the Co-Founder and Medical Director of Antibiotic Adjuvant, Inc. and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine. In 2019, they founded SmartSteward, Inc. and served as the Founder and Chief Medical Officer. Additionally, they are a Diplomate at the Gorgas School of Tropical Medicine.
Robert Yancey's education history began in 1975 when they attended the Medical University of South Carolina and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. In 1977, they completed a Rotating Internship at U.C.L.A.- L.A. County Harbor General Hospital. From 1982 to 1985, they attended the University of Florida for an Internal Medicine Residency Program. Robert then went on to Emory University School of Medicine for an Infectious Diseases Fellowship from 1988 to 1990. Additionally, Robert Yancey has a certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
