Konstantin Markov

Senior Global Director, Technology Operations at Annalect

Konstantin Markov has a diverse work experience in the field of IT, spanning over several years. Konstantin started their career at Uzbekistan Airways as a Senior Service Desk and Infrastructure Analyst, where they installed, configured, and supported various desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Konstantin also managed server and desktop infrastructure, ensuring its availability to all users.

After that, Konstantin joined JTSA as an IT Service Desk Lead, where they were responsible for managing all Service Desk activities, including troubleshooting network and wireless connectivity issues, providing OS and Microsoft Office Suite support, and overseeing the deployment of software and hardware upgrades. Konstantin also maintained relationships with external consultants and vendors and ensured incidents were resolved within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Following their time at JTSA, Konstantin moved to Annalect, where they held several roles. Konstantin started as an Application Support Lead, overseeing on-site and off-shore support teams for both in-house and off-the-shelf applications. Konstantin managed the roll-out process for applications, worked with clients to understand their support needs, and collaborated with DevOps and DEV teams to establish effective cooperation within the IT department. Konstantin also conducted CAB meetings and managed releases to production environments.

Later, Konstantin became the Manager of Application Support, Integrations, and Knowledge at Annalect. In this role, they oversaw all application support processes for in-house big data applications. Konstantin worked with third-party vendors to integrate new tools and processes into the operational environment and managed multiple tiers of application support teams. Konstantin developed and implemented effective incident and request fulfillment processes, tracked key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborated with DevOps and Engineering teams on monitoring, maintenance, and support of IT systems.

Most recently, Konstantin served as the Global Director of Technology Operations at Annalect. In this role, they provided technical leadership, built a vision around IT operations and support activities, and managed operational support procedures and SLAs with internal teams and external vendors. Konstantin evaluated potential areas for service improvement, managed the IT operational budget, and designed and conducted training related to incident and problem management. Konstantin also acted as a project manager on IT projects, prepared KPI reports, and supported client pitches and RFPs.

Throughout their career, Konstantin has demonstrated strong skills in IT operations, application support, team management, and project management. Konstantin is experienced in collaborating with various stakeholders and ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems and infrastructure.

Konstantin Markov began their education in 2002 at the University of Westminster, where they pursued a BS degree in Business Computing. Konstantin successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2006. Following a few years, in 2009 they enrolled at the Saint-Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, where they obtained a MIS degree specializing in Air Transportation and Logistics in 2011.

In terms of additional certifications, Konstantin obtained the "ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management" from AXELOS in April 2015. Konstantin also acquired the "Designing for Organizational Effectiveness" certification from The Wharton School in July 2023. Additionally, they possess an "Information Security Evidence of Professional Development" certification from the National Aviation University (NAU) in Kiev, Ukraine, obtained at an unknown date.
