Michael Koller has worked in various engineering roles since 2010. Michael began as an Engineer Cadet at Horizon Lines in 2010 and then moved on to become an Assistant Operator at Commonwealth Power Company in 2012. In 2014, they worked as an Assistant Engineer Manager/Operator at American Energy, Inc. and then joined Versa Engineering & Technology in 2015 as a Mechanical Engineer/Process Engineer. Michael has predominantly worked in the biopharmaceutical and renewable energy industries, providing design concepts, controlling and transmitting bid packages, and managing small teams. Most recently, they have worked as a Utilities Engineer/Mechanical Engineer at Amyris since 2018.

Michael Koller attended the California Maritime Academy from 2009 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
