William Graham has extensive work experience in the field of industrial design. William began their career in 1988 with the US Navy, where they gained valuable engineering and operational experience on a nuclear-powered submarine. After leaving the military, they worked as an engineer assistant and designer for Greystone Manufacturing, focusing on the research, design, and development of heavy machinery.
In 2001, William transitioned to Dimensional Design, where they managed a team involved in the design, manufacturing, and installation of custom environmental exhibits. William implemented a corporate restructure to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness while still contributing to hands-on design and development.
From 2003 to 2006, they worked as an industrial designer for Hunter Fan Company, specializing in product design and development for their ceiling fan product line. William also conducted research and development on new product categories.
William then joined ACCO Brands in 2006 as a senior designer. During their time there, they worked on new product design and development for consumer and office products, collaborating with internal departments and managing outside design consultancies.
Following their tenure at ACCO Brands, William worked as a building arts designer for Thompsen Construction, focusing on the design, development, and restoration of commercial and residential spaces. William was responsible for creating space plans, renderings, and detail drawings, as well as executing design plans in the field.
In 2015, William joined The Vollrath Company as a senior designer, where they worked until 2018. William then moved to RES Exhibit Services, where they served as a senior designer for manufacturing, design, and management of trade show displays. William provided creative design solutions to clients and used real-time design development sessions to bridge clients' visions with the limitations of complex space planning.
Most recently, in 2020, William joined 84 Lumber as a manager trainee and later took on the role of a commercial estimator. And in 2022, they became the lead industrial designer at Amtrak.
Overall, William Graham has demonstrated their expertise in industrial design through a diverse range of roles in various industries.
William Graham attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 1997 to 2000, where they studied Industrial Design with a focus on Industrial and Product Design.
