Patrick Cherry has a background in chemical engineering, having worked as a Chemical Engineer for Amogy since 2021. Prior to that, they were a Communication and Consent Educator and Researcher at Yale University from 2018 to 2020. During their time at Yale, they served as a resource for community members dealing with any form of sexual misconduct or other issues and facilitated yearly workshops for undergraduates. Patrick also measured the amounts and characteristics of particulate production from combustion of biofuels and analyzed data to discover trends/make accurate predictions about combustion from chemical structure. In 2020, they were an Intern at Duracell Inc., where they were tasked with understanding how and why their new battery, the Optimum, is better than the old one, the coppertop. Patrick engineered and crafted a consistent demonstration of how an Oral B toothbrush functions better with an optimum battery than with a coppertop.

Patrick Cherry attended Yale University from 2017 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
