Claire Preston is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and diagnostics within the field of engineering. Currently serving as Project Manager - Diagnostics at General Fusion, Claire oversees a team of 15 in the development of plasma and liner diagnostics for advanced compression machines. Previous roles at General Fusion include Compression Analyst, where Claire managed projects related to high-speed diagnostics and measurement systems. In addition to experience at UBC Electrical and Computer Engineering as a Research Engineer and Graduate Research Assistant, Claire has developed significant expertise in optical systems, machine learning applications, and data analysis algorithms. Claire holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UBC and a Bachelor's degree in Honours Physics from McMaster University.
