Brandon Ason, PhD is a Senior Principal Scientist at Amgen, with Director responsibilities, where Brandon manages a portfolio for therapeutic assets related to heart failure, atherosclerosis, metabolic, and coronary heart disease indications. Prior to joining Amgen, Brandon worked at Merck as a Senior Research Scientist, where Brandon identified drug/siRNA combinations for metabolic disease indications. Brandon also has experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco and the Hubrecht Institute, Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research. Brandon holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Master's degree in Chemistry from Arizona State University, and a degree in Genetics from The University of Georgia.
