Amy Porfiri has a diverse work experience in the field of psychiatry and research administration. Amy has held several roles at the American Psychiatric Association, starting as an Associate Director for Management in the Division of Research in 2000. Amy then progressed through various positions, including Director of Finance and Administration for the Division of Research/APA Foundation, Deputy Director of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, Interim Executive Director of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, and currently, they serve as the Managing Director of the American Psychiatric Association Foundation. Prior to their tenure at the American Psychiatric Association, Amy worked as a Budget Analyst at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from 1993 to 1996.
Amy Porfiri received their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Carleton College. Amy later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from UMass Boston.
