Sunshine Durant is an experienced educator, artist, and community organizer with a diverse background in the arts and management. Currently serving as a Teacher at American Montessori Academy since January 2020, and as an Artist at Fishnet Studios since September 2018, Sunshine also holds the position of Artistic Director at the DEARBORN Pop project, leading the POP design team. Previous roles include Gallery Director at Black Box Gallery and Instructor/Resident Artist/Community Organizer at Detroit Neighborhood Arts Corp. Education credentials include a Master degree in Fine Art from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts along with a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from College for Creative Studies. Additionally, Sunshine has a history of management experience, notably as General Manager of MJR Theatres, Inc. and as a Manager and 5-star trainer at Ruby Tuesday.
