York Smith has a diverse work history starting in 1998 as a Foreman at C.H. Smith Company, Inc. York then worked as a Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology before becoming a Research Assistant at the University of Nevada Reno. After that, they served as a Ski Coach at Diamond Peak Ski Education Foundation. Smith then joined the University of Utah as a Research Assistant and later as an Assistant Professor.
