Duncan Steel is an experienced engineering leader with a diverse background in strategic development and innovation across multiple industries, including Nuclear, Defence, Infrastructure, and Transportation. Currently serving as Group Director - Engineering Development at Amentum since September 2024 and holding a Non Executive Director position at TWI and an Advisory Council Member role at the UK Research Integrity Office since April 2021, Duncan previously led engineering development at Jacobs and served as Chief Technology Officer at Sellafield Ltd. There, Duncan spearheaded R&D integration and innovation strategies. Earlier career highlights include pivotal roles at Rolls-Royce, where Duncan directed transformative programs and managed key relationships within the supply chain. Educational qualifications include an MBA from The Open University and a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton, complemented by leadership training from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
