David Menard has over 30 years of work experience in the field of engineering. David is currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Ambiq, starting in June 2022. Prior to their current role, they worked at FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc. for 13 years (2009-2022), where they held various positions including Manager of Silicon Engineering and Senior ASIC Engineer. In their roles at FUJIFILM Sonosite, Inc., they gained expertise in FPGA design, verification, and system simulation for ultrasound beamforming. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Silicon Engineer at FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation. Before that, they spent 10 years (1999-2009) at Freescale Semiconductor as a Member of Technical Staff. In addition, they worked as a Contractor at Nethra Imaging in 2009. David also held positions at Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, and Motorola Inc. throughout their career.

David Menard completed their education in Electrical Engineering. David obtained their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University, focusing on the field of study during their tenure from 1983 to 1984.
