Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a robust background in electronics and firmware development. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is focused on developing hardware for innovative educational devices, specifically DViT interactive whiteboards and flat panels. Previous roles include working as a firmware engineer at SMART Technologies and as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities included electronics design for educational tools. Chris also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary and contributed to control systems development for forestry equipment as an electronics engineer at Grindcom. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
