Ryan Devenish has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Ryan is currently the Head of Design at Alloy.ai since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked at OpenGov Inc. as the Director of Design from January 2018 to August 2019. Before that, they were the Director of User Experience at Oracle Utilities from August 2016 to January 2018. From November 2011 to January 2018, Ryan served as the Director of User Experience at Opower, where they led a multidisciplinary team and played a significant role in growing the design organization. Ryan also led the product vision for the customer portal and contributed to winning the largest deal in Opower's history. Ryan's career began in 2007 when they co-founded Inspyre, a consulting company that developed websites and digital products. Ryan handled all aspects of the business, including design, development, marketing, sales, and taxes. Ryan's earlier experience includes working as a Visual Interaction Designer at Smart Design from 2007 to 2011, where they designed engaging user experiences and received patents for their work. Ryan also worked as a Design Intern at Active Ingredients in 2006, where they designed corporate websites and marketing materials. As a freelancer, Ryan operated their own design business from 2002 to 2007, providing freelance design services. Additionally, they worked as a Design Intern at Image Array in 2005, creating motion graphics for in-store advertisements. Ryan's career started in 2003 as an Architectural Draftsperson at Veridian Homes, where they drafted floor plans and 3D renderings. Ryan demonstrated their ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage projects effectively during their tenure at Veridian Homes.
