Jian Lin has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Jian is currently serving as the Senior Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Allorion Therapeutics since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Casma Therapeutics as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry from April 2021 to January 2023 and as the Principal Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry from April 2019 to April 2021.

Before Casma Therapeutics, Jian held positions at Forma Therapeutics and Epix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. At Forma Therapeutics, they served as the Principal Scientist and Chemistry Leader from February 2015 to April 2019, and as the Senior Scientist and Chemistry Leader from September 2009 to February 2015. At Epix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., they worked as the Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry and Project Leader from September 2006 to August 2009, and as the Principal Scientist and Project Leader from August 2005 to September 2006.

Earlier in their career, Jian worked at Daiichi Asubio Pharmaceutical as a Senior Scientist and Project Leader from February 2003 to June 2005, as a Senior Scientist and Co-project Leader from February 2002 to February 2003, and as a Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry from May 2000 to February 2002. Jian also had a role as a Senior Chemist at Orchid Pharma from November 1998 to April 2000, and as a Research Scientist at Bristol-Myers Squibb from January 1997 to November 1998.

Jian Lin completed a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from the University at Albany, SUNY, from the years 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1992, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Polymer Chemistry from Wright State University. Jian Lin also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from South China University of Technology, although the specific dates of their bachelor's degree are not provided.
