Annabeth McCall is a doctoral researcher at the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research, since December 2023. Prior experience includes positions as an environmental scientist at Grassroots Carbon, water resources planning specialist and hydrologist at Aqua Strategies, and director of community science at The Lower Ninth Ward Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development. McCall also served as a research assistant at Louisiana State University in the Coastal Systems Ecology Lab and held roles including GIS/planning intern at N-Y Associates, Inc., team leader at Bayou Rebirth, and intern at Water Works and the Smithsonian Institution. Annabeth McCall holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning with a focus on Environmental and Hazard Mitigation from the University of New Orleans and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from American University. Education continues at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
