Mark Borrelli is an accomplished research geologist currently working at Stone Living Lab since October 2020 and holding multiple positions at the University of Massachusetts Boston since January 2010, including Research Fellow and Director of the Coastal Processes and Ecosystems Laboratory (CaPE Lab). Borrelli has extensive experience in coastal geology, having served as a Coastal Geologist and Director of the Seafloor Mapping Program at the Center for Coastal Studies since June 2009. Previous roles include Storm Hazard Analyst for Texas A&M University and the National Park Service and Coastal Geologist for the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management. Borrelli's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Geosciences from the University of Rhode Island, an MS in Geological Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BS in Geology and Environmental Sciences from Tufts University.
