Dave Johnson is a seasoned leader in forecasting and market analytics, currently serving as the Director of Forecasting & Analytics at AESO since June 2016. With a robust background in the Alberta power market, Dave has held multiple managerial roles focused on market insights, supply forecasting, and the development of high-performing teams. Prior to AESO, Dave held various positions at Encana Corporation, ATCO Power/ATCO Midstream, and Capital Power Corporation, where responsibilities included optimizing asset portfolios and providing strategic risk assessments. Dave's academic credentials include an MBA in Finance from Haskayne School of Business and dual bachelor's degrees in Mathematical Statistics and Probability, as well as Education, both from the University of Calgary.
