Jessica Miller is an experienced fisheries biologist currently serving as a Contract Biologist for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center's Sablefish Longline Survey, with a focus on collecting biological data and assisting AFSC staff. Jessica has over 950 sea days as a North Pacific Groundfish Observer, gathering extensive real-time fisheries data in the Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska, as well as participation in various special projects related to fisheries management and monitoring. Jessica's previous roles include working as a Hake Observer and a Shellfish Observer, contributing valuable insights for commercial fishing regulations and stock assessment efforts. With an academic background in Marine Biology from College of Charleston and ongoing advanced studies in Applied Data Science and Geographic Information Systems, Jessica combines practical field experience with analytical skills in fisheries science.
