Luis Nieves is the owner of Aegis Comics of Alaska since May 2019, providing a dedicated comic book retail experience in Alaska. Concurrently, Luis has been serving as a Sergeant with the Alaska State Troopers since August 2006, holding various roles including Council Member for the Alaska Police Standards Council and supervising rural law enforcement units. Previous experience includes recruitment for the Alaska Department of Public Safety and serving as President and Founder of the National Latino Peace Officers Association Alaska. Luis also has a notable military background, having served as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and as an Operations Specialist in the U.S. Navy. Luis holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from American InterContinental University and graduated from Franklin K. Lane High School.
