Deanna Nelson, M.S. EmpL, PHR®, SHRM-CP, REALTOR®, serves as the Human Resources Director for the Alachua County Library District since September 2022, leading People Operations initiatives and strategy. With a career spanning over two decades, Deanna has maintained a dual role as a REALTOR® at Florida Homes Realty and Mortgage since August 1998, specializing in various property types and real estate services. Previous positions include Deputy City Manager and Human Resources Director for the City of Williston, HR Faculty Relations at the University of Florida, and HR/Business Office Manager at Brookdale. Deanna holds a Master of Science in Employment Law from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Services Administration from Santa Fe College, alongside real estate qualifications from the Florida Real Estate Institute.
