Umer Farooq is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in internal audit and compliance. Currently serving as Deputy Manager of Internal Audit and Compliance at Al Dhafra Insurance Co. PSC. since November 2013, Umer has previously held positions as Assistant Manager of Internal Audit, Compliance, and Financial Analysis within the same company. Prior experience includes working as a Finance Executive at Success Resources UK Ltd., contributing to the development of educational and business training programs, and serving as a Semi Senior Analyst at Deloitte, where significant contributions were made to audit and advisory assignments. Umer also has experience as a Lecturer at SKANS School of Accountancy. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wales, a Bachelor's in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, and ACCA qualifications covering Corporate Reporting, Financial Management, Auditing, and Performance Management.
