Arun Pratihast is a highly experienced data scientist and research professional, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Wageningen Environmental Research and a Senior Data Solutions Expert at Akvo since 2017. Arun has held various roles at Wageningen UR, including Postdoctoral Research Scientist and Research Assistant, contributing to significant projects focused on environmental monitoring and biodiversity. Previous experience includes lecturing at Kathmandu University and consultancy work in GIS and remote sensing. Arun holds a PhD in Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing from Wageningen University & Research, an MSc in Geo-informatics from the University of Twente, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Himalaya College of Engineering.
