Gordon W. has been working in the field since 2003. Gordon started as an Assistant Lab Technician at the University of Florida Training Reactor, where they ran experiments for various professors and research groups using the training reactor as a neutron source. Gordon was also responsible for performing maintenance on testing equipment. In 2005, they became an Intern for the Reactor Engineer Division at Entergy Riverbend Nuclear Plant, where they designed the fuel movement plan for the plant's refueling outage. This included an optimization project that reorganizing the spent fuel pool for new fuel receipt. In 2008, Gordon W. joined Westinghouse Electric Company as an Engineer and Lead Core Designer. Theirresponsibilities included designing, performing safety analyses and assessments of nuclear reactor core loading patterns, and evaluating consequences of each design with respect to nuclear physics parameters. Gordon also had frequent customer communication, including weekly conference calls and travel for in-person meetings. In 2012, Gordon W. joined AITHERAS, LLC as a Project Manager. Theirduties included assisting in proposal writing for potential new projects, managing projects including initial estimation, project planning and monitoring, and leading internal process improvement including ISO 9001 certification and CMMI process improvement. Gordon has been with their current employer since 2017.
Gordon W. received a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing a Masters of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
