Barbara Ponnwitz is an experienced Human Resources professional with a strong background in strategic consulting and organizational development. As the Human Resources Director at Airgas since March 2018, Barbara has been instrumental in enhancing business performance through talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management. Prior to Airgas, Barbara served as a Senior Human Resource Business Partner at Diebold from March 2002 to February 2018, where responsibilities included executing strategies for assigned business units. Earlier career experience includes roles in employee relations at Hertz and military intelligence as an Arabic linguist in the US Army. Barbara holds both a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from Murray State University.
