Ronan Laffey has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Ronan started their career as a Student Engineer at FLS Aerospace in 2003. Ronan then worked as a Design Engineer at Seabulk Systems Inc until 2007. Later that year, they joined Servisair as an Aircraft Dispatcher before moving to Shannon Aerospace Ltd as a Technical Services Engineer in 2008. In 2011, they became the Managing Director at ARC Aviation Consultancy, a role they held until 2012. Since 2012, Ronan has been associated with Aircastle, initially as a Director Technical handling Aircraft Lease Transitions, Asset Management, and Aircraft Purchase/Sale Support. Currently, they serve as the VP Technical at Aircastle.

Ronan Laffey has a Certificate in People Management from IBEC / Dublin Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2018. In 2016, they also received a Certificate in Influence & Persuasive Communications from University College Dublin. Their education history also includes an Honors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Limerick, which they completed from 2001 to 2006.
