Sara Semelka

Project Manager at AIDS Foundation of Chicago

Sara Semelka began their work experience in 2007 as a News Reporter for the Columbia Daily Tribune. In this role, they worked from December 2007 to August 2009. Sara then joined the AIDS Foundation of Chicago in 2012 as a Project Manager. Currently, Sara manages the Getting to Zero Illinois project, which aims to end the HIV epidemic in Illinois by 2030. Sara also provides content and facilitates trainings for HIV prevention and care professionals through Project RSP. Additionally, Sara has contributed to various projects at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, including the Midwest HIV Prevention and Pregnancy Planning Initiative, The Chicago Female Condom Campaign, and the National Female Condom Coalition.

Sara Semelka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2002 to 2006. Sara then pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Public Policy Analysis at the same university from 2009 to 2011.
