Barden Chan is a Senior Director of Translational Research at Agios Pharmaceuticals, having held multiple positions within the company since May 2014, including roles as Director/Fellow, Associate Director/Principal Scientist, and Senior Scientist in Biology. Barden Chan leads a biology team focused on target validation and disease pathobiology, coordinating experiments across various functional groups. Prior to Agios Pharmaceuticals, Barden Chan worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School from June 1999 to April 2014, serving as an Instructor/Staff Scientist and a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Fellow, with research interests in tumor metabolism and vascular biology. Barden Chan holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a Biological Sub-specialty from the University of Minnesota and a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Hanover College.
