Yinfeng Zhang is a highly experienced bioinformatics professional currently serving as a Principal Bioinformatics Scientist at Pfizer since September 2022. Prior to this role, Yinfeng led the bioinformatics team at UPMC from June 2020 to September 2022, overseeing a diverse group of scientists and engineers in molecular genomic pathology. Yinfeng's earlier experience includes positions at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where responsibilities ranged from analyzing virus-infected participant data in clinical studies to identifying bioinformatics tools for data analysis. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Yinfeng contributed to the data analysis supporting HPTN clinical trials. Yinfeng's career began at The Chinese University of Hong Kong as a Research Associate, focusing on alterations in the human epigenome due to viral infections. Yinfeng holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences (Bioinformatics) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as a Master's degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the University of Science and Technology of China.
