Daniel Levey has extensive experience in the biotechnology industry, particularly in vaccine research and development. Daniel started their career at Antigenics in 1997, where they held various roles including Director of Scientific Affairs and Senior Director of Tumor Immunology. During this time, they focused on securing intellectual property rights and managing patent applications for heat shock proteins to treat cancer, infectious diseases, and autoimmune disorders. Additionally, they played a key role in negotiating partnerships and presenting scientific rationales for Antigenics' Phase 3 therapeutic cancer vaccine. In 2010, Levey joined Agenus as the Senior Director of Scientific Affairs, providing scientific guidance across multiple departments. Daniel was later promoted to Senior Director of Vaccine Research, leading preclinical evaluation and immune monitoring assays for therapeutic vaccine candidates.
Daniel Levey completed their education in a chronological order. Daniel earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology from Vassar College, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued their doctoral studies at Fordham University, where they obtained a PhD in Tumor Immunology from 1993 to 1997.
