Ute De Meyer possesses extensive experience in biodiversity policy and European affairs, currently serving as a Policy Officer for International Biodiversity Policy at Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos since March 2023, where responsibilities include managing the Belgian pilot Nature Restoration Law and representing Belgium and Flanders at various international conventions. Prior to this role, Ute worked as a Liaison Officer at Vleva, connecting Flemish civil society and local government with European institutions, and as an advisor on forest policy at Aanspreekpunt Privaat Beheer - Natuur en Bos. Ute's background also includes positions in public consulting and educational workshops on the European Union, complemented by an internship at the European Commission's representation in Belgium. Ute holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the Institute for European Studies, ULB, and has completed advanced studies in Public Management and Political Science.
