Lauren Hieger has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lauren began their career as a Tour Guide at Anheuser-Busch in 2003 before transitioning into a role as a Reporter at KOMU-TV in 2004. Lauren then worked as a Weekend Anchor/Reporter at KSNF-TV from 2005 to 2006, followed by their position as an Evening Anchor at KODE Action 12 News from 2006 to 2009. Lauren then moved into the field of education as a Community Relations Specialist at ITT Technical Institute from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, they served as the New Media Director for the Republican National Committee - Victory 2012 (MO), where they managed social media accounts, organized press events, and oversaw eight Victory offices. From 2013 to 2018, Lauren held the position of Majority Caucus Communications Director at the Missouri Senate, where they handled press releases, crisis response, media training, and maintained social media outlets. Most recently, they were the Director of Communications at ACERTUS starting in 2020.
Lauren Hieger received their Master of Arts degree in Journalism - Media Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2019. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Journalism degree in Broadcast News from the same university from 2001 to 2005. Lauren Hieger completed their high school education at Nerinx Hall High School from 1997 to 2001.
