Michael Eshleman, AICP, currently serves as the Manager of Service Planning at AC Transit, a role held since November 2015, where responsibilities include managing the Service Planning Department, facilitating staff career development, and implementing strategies for improving mobility and sustainable ridership growth. Prior to this position, Michael was a Senior Planner at the San Mateo County Transit District from October 2011 to November 2015, overseeing short-range service planning and handling Title VI activities, along with performing in-depth ridership analyses. Michael also contributed as an Operations Planner at SamTrans and held multiple planning roles at Moore & Associates, Inc. Michael holds a Certificate of Transit and Paratransit Management from the University of the Pacific and a Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
