Eric Downey is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in mobile and web application development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Abercrombie & Fitch Co. since April 2022, Eric has also founded Uncanny Apps, where the H2O - Water Tracker app is developed. Previously, Eric held the position of Software Engineer at Root Insurance Company and Lead iOS Developer at g2o, where responsibilities included overseeing iOS mobile projects and driving architectural decisions. Eric’s career includes leadership roles at companies such as Big Lots Stores and Key Corporate & Commercial Bank, where impactful applications were created using various technologies. Additionally, Eric authored "Practical Swift" and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Capital University in 2013.
